Position Overview

We are seeking experienced and strategic HR Business Partners (HRBP) to support the growth and transformation of Meratus Groups diverse business units across shipping, logistics, terminal operations, commercial trade, and corporate functions. These roles will work closely with senior leaders across multiple portfolios to align HR strategies with business goals, focusing on workforce planning, talent development, organizational effectiveness, and cultural alignment.

The ideal candidate brings a strong generalist HR background, thrives in fast paced environments, and has a proven ability to support both operational and strategic HR initiatives across varied business contexts.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Partnership

Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders across shipping, logistics, commercial, and support functions translating business needs into actionable people strategies.

Workforce Planning & Capability Development

Lead annual manpower planning cycles, identify future skill needs, and drive upskilling and succession initiatives to build a future-ready workforce.

Performance Management & Leadership Coaching

Implement performance frameworks and coach managers on feedback, goal setting, and team development to foster a high-performance culture.

Organizational Development & Change Management

Support structural changes, process improvements, and cultural transformation initiatives across business units.

HR Analytics & Data-Driven Decision Making

Use workforce data and insights to inform talent strategies, improve engagement, and support business planning.

Employee Experience & Engagement

Champion initiatives that enhance employee well-being, inclusion, and collaboration across diverse teams and locations.

Compensation & Benefits Advisory

Partner with the C&B team to ensure fair, competitive, and performance-aligned reward structures across business units.

HR Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure adherence to labor laws, company policies, and ethical HR practices across all operational regions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with HR Centers of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, Learning, C&B, HR Services) to deliver integrated HR solutions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field. Masters or MBA Preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a business partnering or HR generalist role.
  • Stable work history supporting diverse business functions across the Shipping, Transportation or Logistics Industry will be highly regarded. Candidates with similar stable backgrounds from symbiotic industries are also encouraged to apply.
  • Strong understanding of workforce planning, performance management, and organizational development.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive people initiatives in complex, matrixed environments.
  • Comfortable working with HR data and analytics to inform decision-making.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a dynamic, fast paced setting.
  • Willing to be based in Surabaya.
