The Junior Process Engineer supports the team in the design and analysis of various systems (i.e. LNG, Hydrocarbon, utilities, seawater intake, wastewater outfalls, etc.). He will also assist the Business Development (BD) team in client engagement, proposal preparation and market research. The role is designed for fresh graduates who are eager to learn both technical engineering and commercial aspects of project delivery. This position provides hands-on exposure to process design tasks, fieldwork, and early-stage client development activities.
What will you do
Technical (Process Engineering)
- Review project specification and Client's requirements, and identify any information gaps
- Perform process design of various systems (conceptual, basic (FEED), detailed design)
- Develop process engineering deliverables, including but not limited to design basis, flow diagrams, heat & mass balance, piping & instrumentation diagram, process control philosophy, and associated process calculations
- Support modelling / simulations related to process design
- Provide assessment (technical and commercial) of multiple design options during design optimisation exercise
- Collaborate with other disciplines and project management team in terms of providing the required process data and performing inter-discipline review
- Liaising with third-party subcontractor / subconsultant in terms of process design execution
- Assist in fieldwork, including site surveys, inspections, data collection and supervision
- Actively involved in meeting and workshop with clients, contractors, and vendors
- Maintain & track process deliverables as well as ensuring proper filing of documentation
Business Development
- Assist in identifying potential clients or opportunities
- Support preparation of proposals, budget, and other tender documentation
- Conduct market research on competitors, pricing, and industry trends
- Maintain CRM record and follow-up
- Participate in client meetings
- Draft minutes of meetings, follow-up action items and client correspondences
- Support company marketing efforts

What you bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or closely related discipline.
- Fresh graduates or candidates with 0–2 years of process engineering experience are encouraged to apply.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Able to work in multidisciplinary environment.
- Strong understanding of process engineering fundamentals (fluids, thermodynamics, energy & mass balances, heat & material transfer, process safety)
- Good understanding of engineering standards (ISO, ASME, API, NFPA) and HSE requirements
- Good understanding of LNG & Hydrocarbon processing, especially Marine Transfer System (MTS) and Onshore Receiving Facility (ORF)
- Ability to develop process design deliverables (i.e. PFDs, P&IDs, mass/energy balances, and equipment sizing, etc.)
- Familiarity in process simulation tools (e.g., Hysys, Pipesim, Flaresim, Phast or sinilar)
- Familiarity with digital engineering tools is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience in consultancy or EPC environments is an advantage.
