We are looking for an Industrial Relations (IR) Specialist. This role will be responsible for managing industrial relations, ensuring compliance with labor regulations, handling disputes, and supporting smooth HR operations. You will also take part in administrative tasks to ensure accurate documentation and reporting.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Degree holder in Law, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
- Minimum of 35 years of hands-on experience in industrial relations, preferably within the Food & Beverage (F&B) or retail industry.
- In-depth understanding of Indonesian labor laws, employment regulations, and industrial relations best practices.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data management, Google Spreadsheet, and reporting tools.
- Excellent administrative and documentation skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English (spoken and written).
- Proficiency in Canva (or similar design tools) for preparing newsletters and internal communication materials.
- Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and professionalism.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel to retail sites/stores across Indonesia as required
Job Role:
- Ensure compliance with Indonesian labor law, UU Cipta Kerja, company regulations, and other relevant labor regulations in Indonesia.
- Handle grievance procedures, conflict resolution, negotiations, and industrial disputes.
- Support the preparation and administration of Company Regulation (Peraturan Perusahaan/ PP).
- Manage employee relations issues such as misconduct, termination, and redundancy in accordance with legal frameworks.
- Prepare and maintain accurate IR database and documentation, employee relations reports, and government submissions.
- Manage administrative tasks related to employee records, warnings, exit clearance and interview, and dispute resolutions.
- Create and distribute IR newsletters, announcements, and internal communications using Canva.
- Monitor industrial climate and proactively identify potential risks to prevent disputes.
- Provide guidance to line managers on industrial relations policies, labor law, and compliance.
- Collaborate with HR, Legal, and Operations to maintain a positive employee relations climate.
