Scope of Work :
The Business Development Lead will be responsible for Partnership strengthening, monitor and maintain positive collaboration between 1000 Days Fund and partners, including conducting regular strategic discussion with partners. Also conduct research and devise strategies to approach donation/funding opportunities and develop and execute in-house fundraising campaigns utilizing social media channels and community partnership opportunities.
1) Partnership Strengthening
- Monitor and maintain positive collaboration between 1000 Days Fund and Government, Private Sectors, Donors, Coalition Members, and other strategic counterparts.
- Work closely with the program and community engagement team to find collaboration opportunities that will mutually benefit 1000 Days Fund and partners.
- Plan, organize, and execute fundraising events, including but not limited to galas, charity walks, webinars, and workshops.
- Coordinate event logistics, including venue selection, catering, invitations, and marketing.
- Develop event budgets and track expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to create engaging content and presentations for events.
2) Donor Retention
- Identify and segment existing donors based on their giving history and engagement level.
- Develop and implement donor stewardship plans to maintain and strengthen relationships.
- Regularly communicate with donors through personalized updates, thank-you letters, and impact reports.
- Track donor interactions and engagement to tailor outreach strategies.
3) New Donor Acquisition
- Conduct market research to identify potential donors and target demographics.
- Develop and implement strategies for acquiring new individual and corporate donors.
- Create compelling fundraising campaigns and appeals.
- Establish partnerships with local businesses, foundations, and community organizations to expand the donor base.
4)Donor Database Management
- Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date donor database.
- Regularly clean and segment the database for effective donor targeting.
- Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations, such as GDPR or local data protection laws.
- Train and supervise staff responsible for data entry and management.
5) Fundraising
- Develop and execute annual fundraising plans and strategies.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling fundraising materials, including brochures, newsletters, and online campaigns.
- Monitor and report on fundraising progress, including key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Explore innovative fundraising techniques, such as peer-to-peer fundraising, crowdfunding, and major donor cultivation.
6) Lessons-learnt documentation and reporting
- Support lesson-learnt and documentation of 1000 Days Funds activities on partnership and fundraising.
- Work closely with the program and research team to analyze the partnership progress.
- Support to leverage and disseminate those learnings and documentations for the sustainability of 1000 Days Funds program
- Contribute to the development of general partnership and fundraising learning, documentation, and reporting.
Qualification :
1) Education and Hard Skill :
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, or Communication is preferred.
- Minimal 3-4 years experience related to account executive/ partnership / business development/ Fundraiser.
- Proficient in English both verbal and written (MUST)
- Experience in an NGO is an advantage.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Words and PowerPoint) with basic design preferred.

- Excellent communication and relationship management skills, interpersonal skills, excellent presentation skills, persuasion and negotiation skills with good time management is required..
- Able to manage budgets and analyze fundraising targets align with organization needs.
- Good people skills, Self-motivated, flexible and proactive and experience working cross-culturally
- Self-motivated person able to work with little supervision
- Demonstrate commitment to team work with a high degree of integrity, dependability and confidentiality.
- An understanding of and affinity with 1000 Days Fund vision, mission and values.
