Job Description

SATURDAYS is a lifestyle brand offering designer-quality eyewear at affordable prices. We provide seamless shopping experiences through our app, home try-on service, and physical lifestyle stores where customers can also enjoy specialty coffee and freshly baked cookies.

We are looking for a UI/UX Designer to lead design for our digital ecosystem spanning customer-facing platforms (mobile app, mobile web, POS) and internal systems (ERP and staff portal). Your primary focus will be creating intuitive, visually consistent, and efficient user experiences. As a secondary responsibility, you will also support product management activities such as writing PRDs, coordinating with engineers, and contributing to feature launches.

This hybrid role is well-suited for a designer who enjoys combining hands-on design with lightweight product ownership, ensuring ideas are not only designed beautifully but also executed effectively.

Key Responsibilities

UI/UX Design (Primary)

  • Conduct user research, journey mapping, and usability testing for customers and staff
  • Design wireframes, prototypes, and polished UIs for app, web, POS, ERP, and portal
  • Optimize customer journeys (shopping, loyalty redemption) and internal workflows (POS efficiency, ERP usability)
  • Create and maintain a scalable design system for consistent branding and usability
  • Work closely with engineering to ensure design fidelity in implementation

Product Management (Secondary)

  • Draft clear Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) with user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Support roadmap planning and feature prioritization by contributing user and design insights
  • Coordinate with engineers throughout the development cycle to clarify requirements and resolve design-related issues
  • Partner with QA to ensure product features meet design and functional requirements
  • Assist in launching new features, including rollout planning, staff documentation, and training
  • Track and report on product performance metrics such as conversion, adoption, POS efficiency, and ERP usability

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Design, HCI, Business, or related field
  • 36 years of experience in UI/UX design; exposure to product management preferred
  • Strong portfolio showcasing mobile/web designs; experience with ERP, POS, or internal tools a plus
  • Proficiency with Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD, plus prototyping tools
  • Familiarity with PRDs, agile methodologies, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to balance user needs and business goals
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills across technical and business stakeholders

Success in This Role Looks Like

  • Customers enjoy a seamless, engaging experience across app, web, and POS
  • Staff use ERP and portal tools that are efficient, intuitive, and supportive of their daily tasks
  • New features are well-documented, smoothly coordinated with engineers, and successfully launched
  • The product team benefits from your design-driven insights and contributions to PRDs, prioritization, and feature execution
