Who You Are
You are a highly skilled and thoughtful Senior UX/UI Designer with a deep understanding of both user experience and refined visual aesthetics. You see digital design not just as a technical function, but as an opportunity to shape emotion, guide perception, and elevate brand storytelling. You have a strong grasp of layout, typography, hierarchy, and interaction design; and you know how to translate conceptual direction into functional, elegant, and scalable interfaces. Youre comfortable working with development teams, understand the constraints of responsive design, and advocate for both user clarity and artistic integrity.
Your Role
As Senior UX/UI Designer, you will lead the translation of our brand into an intuitive, emotive, and immersive digital experience. You will collaborate closely with our frontend developer (Next.js, Tailwind) and UX/QA support to design a responsive, mobile-first website that balances storytelling with commerce.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the UX/UI design for a luxury digital platform: homepage, product pages, rituals, journal, and cart flow
- Translate brand vision into wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interaction flows
- Ensure mobile-first, fully responsive design systems with clear, consistent components
- Design poetic visual transitions and micro-interactions in collaboration with our dev (Framer Motion/Tailwind)
- Build accessible, scalable layouts that work beautifully with CMS (Sanity or Contentful) and Shopify API logic
- Conduct lightweight user flow audits and suggest elegant improvements
- Guide and review intern implementation to maintain luxury visual fidelity
- Collaborate closely with the Creative Director and Project Manager for approvals and iteration
What You Bring
- 5+ years experience in web design, branding, or digital product UI/UX
- Portfolio that shows tasteful, timeless, high-end work (fashion, editorial, culture, wellness, or boutique e-commerce)
- Mastery of Figma, design systems, layout, typography, and responsive behavior
- Experience with headless CMS or Shopify (bonus if worked with Sanity/Contentful or Storefront API)
- Sensitivity to motion, storytelling flow, and visual rhythm
- Appreciation for slow design, minimalism, elegance, and emotional experience
- Experience mentoring or working alongside junior developers or interns
Bonus
- Experience with luxury, wellness, or fashion brands
- Animation prototyping tools (Framer, Protopie, After Effects)
- Comfort with light HTML/CSS (for alignment with devs)
- Background in editorial design, photography, or poetry-infused storytelling
