Role Overview

As a Transaction Monitoring Analyst, you will be is responsible for monitoring and reviewing financial transactions to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. The position involves conducting due diligence on customers, analyzing transaction patterns, and detecting suspicious activities based on predefined risk indicators. The role also supports escalation processes for high-risk cases and contributes to continuous improvement of monitoring rules and controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and monitor transactions prior to processing to identify potential risks according to rules code
  • Follow up and conduct due diligence checks on customers according to required document/information
  • Assess transaction patterns, amounts, and behaviors against predefined risk thresholds
  • Flag, escalate, or block suspicious or high-risk transactions for further investigation
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of transaction reviews and decisions in tracker
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies
  • Provide recommendations to improve monitoring rules, controls, and processes

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Law, or related field
  • 1-3 years of experiences in transaction monitoring, compliance, AML/KYC, or risk management (preferred)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify anomalies
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., AML)
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle high transaction volumes
  • Strong command of English (written and spoken) is a must
  • Willing to work on Public Holiday (with compensation as per regulation)
