About the Job
Were seeking a Senior Tax Manager to lead the design and execution of our groups tax structure and transfer pricing policies, ensuring compliance while preparing the organization for future restructuring and capital market readiness. In this role, youll act as both a strategist and an operatorbalancing hands-on tax management with forward-looking advisory to support the groups long-term growth. Youll lead a team of tax professionals, partner with external consultants, and serve as the go-to expert for senior management on all tax matters.
What Youll Do
- Lead the design and implementation of the groups tax structure and transfer pricing policies, with a focus on restructuring and IPO readiness.
- Ensure tax compliance and efficiency across all entities, covering corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, and annual reporting.
- Partner with external consultants and advisors to review and validate tax planning and restructuring schemes.
- Provide tax advisory support on new business initiatives, intercompany arrangements, and corporate transactions.
- Monitor regulatory changes proactively, interpret their implications, and advise management on business impact.
- Represent the group in discussions with tax authorities, regulators, and external auditors.
- Supervise, coach, and mentor the tax team (leads and staff) to enhance accuracy, timeliness, and knowledge within the function.
- Establish SOPs, internal controls, and best practices to strengthen tax governance and reduce risks.
- Review and approve all tax submissions and reports to ensure full compliance and consistency.
- Deliver a defensible tax structure that supports long-term business objectives and minimizes reliance on external advisors.
- Act as the main tax counterpart for consultants, regulators, and senior management.
- Build a high-performing internal tax function capable of scaling with the organizations growth.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation (mandatory); Masters degree is a plus.
- 812 years of tax experience, ideally combining Big4 tax advisory (Manager/Senior Manager) and in-house corporate tax leadership.
- Proven expertise in corporate tax, transfer pricing, restructuring, and tax planning, with exposure to IPO readiness or large-scale tax projects.
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations (corporate tax, VAT, transfer pricing) and intercompany arrangements.
- Skilled in financial analysis, tax modelling, and proficient with MS Excel and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management, with experience mentoring tax teams.
- Strategic thinker with solid analytical, problem-solving, and project management skillsable to balance compliance with forward-looking tax planning in a fast-paced environment.
