Job Role:
The Senior Manager FAT will lead the finance, accounting, and tax functions of a fast-paced, high-volume distribution business. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, compliance with Indonesian financial regulations, and maintaining robust internal controls. The position requires strong industry expertise in distribution or retail, proven leadership in managing accounting teams, and the ability to partner cross-functionally with supply chain, commercial, and operational stakeholders to support business growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Lead preparation and review of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with PSAK (Indonesian GAAP).
- Ensure full compliance with Indonesian tax regulations, statutory requirements, and financial reporting standards.
- Coordinate and manage external audits, ensuring timely completion with unqualified (clean) audit results.
Accounting & Tax Operations
- Oversee all accounting functions including AR, AP, inventory, cash flow management, GL, and journal entries.
- Lead tax planning, reporting, and compliance activities covering VAT, corporate income tax, and withholding tax.
- Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and submissions, leveraging Brevet A & B certification.
- Monitor reconciliations of bank accounts, ledgers, and financial statements, ensuring timely month-end and year-end closings.
Internal Controls & Risk Management
- Strengthen and implement effective internal control systems across finance, accounting, and tax processes.
- Identify and mitigate financial and tax-related risks.
- Oversee compliance in distributor transactions, credit control, and stock handling.
Strategic Financial Support & Analysis
- Partner with business leaders, commercial, and logistics teams to deliver actionable financial insights that enhance cost efficiency and profitability.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of margins, cost-to-serve, credit exposure, and tax implications on business decisions.
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and performance review processes with strong financial and tax perspectives.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Brevet A & B certification required; strong knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations.
- Minimum 810 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, and tax, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Solid background in distribution, FMCG, or retail industries is highly preferred.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with strong stakeholder management ability.
