Operations Manager – Tanker

Role

Lead and manage daily tanker operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective vessel performance
Oversee voyage planning and execution, ensuring optimal scheduling, turnaround time, and resource utilization
Monitor operational KPIs including fuel consumption, demurrage, and overall fleet efficiency
Ensure full compliance with international maritime regulations, charter party requirements, and company policies
Coordinate closely with commercial, technical, and marine teams to align operational and business objectives
Manage relationships with external stakeholders including charterers, port agents, and terminals
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs
Handle operational issues, incidents, and deviations, ensuring timely resolution and reporting

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Marine Engineering, Logistics, or a related field
Minimum 5–10 years of experience in tanker operations or shipping industry
Strong understanding of tanker operations, chartering terms, and maritime regulations
Proven experience in managing vessel operations, scheduling, and stakeholder coordination
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
