IT Asset & Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SOPs for IT Asset Management, covering the full asset lifecycle.
• Implement and improve ITAM processes to ensure policy and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor and maintain system reliability, backups, and security health checks.
• Lead asset planning, procurement, and inventory management.
• Enforce data and asset security protocols to prevent threats and breaches.
• Manage a centralized IT asset database with full lifecycle tracking.
• Perform regular asset audits to ensure license compliance and optimize costs.
• Develop disaster recovery strategies to reduce downtime and data loss.
• Stay current on ITAM and cybersecurity trends and best practices.
• Collaborate with IT teams to align security and asset management with company strategy.
• Train staff on IT security and responsible asset use to build a culture of accountability.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in computer science is advantageous
• Minimum of 3 years in service delivery, preferably in a multi-national environment for IT technical and help desk areas
• Provide IT support by responding to helpdesk tickets and resolving technical issues promptly.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems, including wired/wireless connectivity.
• Support and maintain Windows OS, Microsoft Office, email servers, webmail, and common business applications (HRMS, finance, etc.).
• Perform workstation setup, software installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Educate users on IT best practices to boost productivity and ensure security.
• Manage and support cloud tools (Google Cloud, Microsoft Teams) and virtualization platforms (Proxmox, OpenStack).
• Ensure cyber-related issues are addressed promptly and support security awareness.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with strong communication and troubleshooting skills.
• Utilize knowledge of LAN/WAN, switches, and network protocols for infrastructure support.
