We are looking for a Head of Legal to lead our Legal team and partner with the business in driving sustainable growth. This role requires a seasoned legal leader with a broad scope of expertise, strong strategic vision, and the ability to elevate team performance.
What Youll Do
- Lead and oversee the legal function across corporate, commercial, compliance, and litigation matters, ensuring the company operates with integrity and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide strategic legal counsel to senior leadership on a wide range of legal matters.
- Develop and implement legal strategies to mitigate risks while enabling business growth in a fast-evolving technology and retail landscape.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts and agreements to safeguard the companys interests and align with strategic objectives.
- Manage dispute resolution, litigation, and inquiries from regulators, collaborating with external counsel when necessary.
- Oversee legal operations and compliance frameworks, ensuring efficiency and adherence to both local and international standards.
- Mentor, coach, and develop the Legal team to foster a high-performing culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
What Were Looking For
- A Law Degree (LL.B or equivalent) as a foundation, with a Masters Degree such as LL.M or MBA considered a strong advantage.
- At least 15 years of progressive legal experience, demonstrating proven expertise in corporate lawincluding M&A and capital marketscompliance, legal operations, commercial contracts, and litigation.
- Broad exposure across diverse industries, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked in both technology and retail sectors.
- Deep expertise in corporate and regulatory law, with the ability to anticipate changes in the legal landscape and translate them into practical strategies for the business.
- Strong capability in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex contracts, coupled with a sharp sense of risk management and legal strategy to safeguard the companys interests.
- Proven track record of providing legal advisory at the executive level, offering clear and actionable counsel that supports leadership in making high-impact decisions.
- A strategic and people-oriented leader with the ability to mentor and inspire.
