Job Description

Our client is a beachfront boutique luxury hotel in Kuta, Bali, renowned for its vibrant energy, chic lifestyle, diverse dining destinations, and iconic sunsets. They are seeking a charming and service-oriented Hostess to warmly welcome guests, manage reservations, and ensure a seamless dining experience that reflects the hotels lively yet sophisticated atmosphere.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years of work experience as a Hostess or Waitress in a luxury hotel or well-established restaurants.
  • Prior background from a Restaurant/Club/Beach Club is an advantage
  • Indonesian citizens only
  • Hospitality appearance, honest, initiative, creative and open-minded
  • Demonstrable customer-service skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to monitor the entire operation
  • Good physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shift
  • Well-groomed appearance and a professional demeanour
  • Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Basic knowledge of reservation systems is an advantage

Responsibilities:

  • Guest Greeting and Seating: Warmly welcoming guests as they arrive, managing reservations, and guiding them to their tables.
  • Customer Service: Providing menus, answering initial questions, and ensuring guests are comfortable and well-attended to.
  • Reservation Management: Handling reservations, waitlists, and coordinating seating arrangements to optimise table turnover and staff workload.
  • Maintaining Cleanliness: Ensuring the front-of-house area, including the dining room and waiting area, is clean, organised, and presentable.
  • Assisting Wait Staff: Supporting servers during busy periods by helping with tasks like clearing tables, refilling drinks, and delivering food.
  • Handling Customer Inquiries: Answering phones, addressing guest concerns, and providing information about the restaurant&aposs offerings.
  • Basic Payment Processing: On some occasions, the hostess may also be responsible for processing customer payments.
  • Ensuring a Positive Experience: Creating a welcoming atmosphere and striving to exceed guest expectations throughout their visit.
  • Communication and Coordination: Effectively communicating with other staff members, particularly servers and kitchen staff, to ensure smooth service.
