Job Description
- Lead and manage the design team: Supervise the design teams workflow, ensure all projects are completed on time and within budget, and prepare weekly designer reports.
- Lead project communications: Coordinate with the design team, clients, and internal departments regarding project requirements.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their design needs and objectives, ensuring their vision is realized.
- Oversee design and creativity across projects, from concept design and space planning to development and presentation.
- Produce conceptual work using hand sketches as well as various digital and traditional media.
- Produce and review drawings for schematic and detailed design phases.
- Attend client meetings independently or with project leaders, contributing to client presentations.
- Conduct research and source references to ensure materials and products align with project goals and design standards.
- Contribute to business development, promotional activities, proposal preparation, and presentations.
- Participate in sales efforts and promotional presentations to potential clients.
- Engage in site measurements, layout planning, and material selection.
- Ensure successful project delivery and completion within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Ensure all design projects are completed within budget constraints.
- Able to create layouts for various types of buildings and demonstrate creativity in design.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in English (mandatory).
- Proficiency in Mandarin will be considered as an advantage for benefits & salary negotiations.
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field. Having SKA certification in Architecture or Interior Design expertise is preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, 3ds Max/SketchUp (with Vray/Enscape/D5 rendering), and Microsoft Office.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in architectural and/or interior design.
- Proven experience in leading a team.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight project deadlines.
- Ability to create a Blank BOQ (Bill of Quantities) in line with design requirements and conduct BOQ item checks.
- Ability to develop draft timeline schedules, S-curves, and progress reports for upcoming and ongoing projects.
