MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
What you will do:
Design Strategy & Vision
- Define and uphold the creative vision, brand aesthetics, and design standards across all projects.
- Develop design briefs in collaboration with stakeholders to meet project and brand objectives.
- Ensure consistency in design quality and identity throughout all phases of development.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary in-house design team and external consultants.
- Oversee the work of Interior, Architecture, and Landscape teams to ensure integrated design delivery.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Project Oversight & Coordination
- Manage design timelines and ensure smooth handoffs between concept, schematic, and detailed design phases.
- Collaborate closely with Project Management, Operations, and Commercial teams to ensure feasibility and alignment.
- Review and approve all design proposals, technical drawings, and material selections.
Innovation, Trends & Sustainability
- Keep abreast of global design trends, materials, and technologies, and apply relevant innovations.
- Promote sustainable design practices and ensure environmental goals are embedded into project delivery.
- Explore new tools, platforms, and systems that enhance design workflows and presentation quality.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Present design concepts and updates to executive leadership and ownership groups.
- Act as the brands design ambassador in consultant coordination, supplier negotiation, and external representation.
- Ensure all stakeholders are aligned with design direction and decision-making processes.
Others:
- Achieve the monthly and annual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) assigned, which will be outlined separately. KPIs may include, but are not limited to, targets related to productivity, quality, efficiency, compliance, and contributions to team or departmental objectives.
- Accept temporary or permanent transfers to another section, department, or Aryaduta property, as required by business needs and performance considerations.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the superior, which are relevant to the role and support departmental or organizational objectives.
DNA:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related design field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in design leadership, preferably in hospitality, mixed-use, or commercial development sectors. Proven experience in overseeing and delivering multi-disciplinary design portfolios.
- Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Strong understanding of construction processes, technical detailing, and building codes.
- Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written).
- Visionary leadership and creative direction.
- Strong design judgment and aesthetic sensibility.
- Collaborative and solution-oriented mindset.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
