Group Head of Accounting and Tax will direct report to Chief Financial Office
Group Head of Accounting and Tax will oversee and guide all accounting and tax activities at the Head Office, Business Units, and affiliated companies. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with applicable accounting standards and tax regulations. The position also entails designing and supervising accounting and tax policies, optimizing tax strategies for cost efficiency, and supporting management decisions with relevant financial analyses. Additionally, the role involves team development, regulatory compliance monitoring, and safeguarding the company's financial integrity while minimizing tax-related risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Conduct comprehensive reviews of financial reports to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data presented.
- Consolidation: Guide the Head of Accounting and Consolidation in preparing consolidated financial statements, ensuring accurate and timely inter-entity eliminations.
- Revenue Management: Oversee and approve company and affiliate rights fulfillment, including invoice validation, billing processes, and monitoring payments to maintain financial health.
- Liabilities Management: Review and approve payment obligations, ensuring completeness and accuracy of supporting documents, and monitor payments to third parties.
- Tax Compliance: Review and approve tax calculations and payments in alignment with regulations, including coordination with tax consultants and resolving tax issues.
- Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance of financial and tax reports with company standards and applicable tax regulations.
- Audit Coordination: Evaluate and guide audit processes, address findings, and approve audit reports to ensure financial integrity and compliance.
- Asset Management: Approve and oversee asset management, including asset documentation and system tagging for effective utilization.
- Policy Development: Develop foundational policies for accounting and tax SOPs, ensuring alignment with current accounting principles and tax regulations.
- Team Leadership: Strategically plan manpower needs, develop, motivate, and evaluate team performance, and foster a high-performance culture aligned with organizational values.
- Operational Excellence: Direct the implementation of risk management, performance management, and good corporate governance to enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Cultural and Industrial Relations: Build a conducive working environment within the team and maintain synergy with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CA certification preferred.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in accounting and finance, with 3-5 years in managerial roles.
- In-depth knowledge of Indonesian tax laws and PSAK; familiarity with IFRS is advantageous.
- Proven expertise in preparing consolidated financial statements and managing tax compliance for group or multi-business entities.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems.
- Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in team development and performance management.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior management and external stakeholders.
- Adaptability to dynamic environments and multitasking demands.
