Abacus Capital, a boutique asset management and corporate advisory firm, is seeking a highly motivated Investment Analyst to join its Advisory team. Headquartered in Singapore with operations in Indonesia and affiliates across Southeast Asia, the firm advises clients on mergers & acquisitions, divestments, capital raising, restructuring, and strategic transactions.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting live and prospective M&A transactions through financial analysis, valuation, market research, and preparation of transaction materials. The analyst will work closely with the Director and Managing Director in executing advisory mandates and developing strategic solutions for clients.

Responsibilities

· Support execution of M&A transactions, divestments, strategic partnerships, and capital raising mandates.

· Conduct detailed financial, commercial, industry, and market research to identify opportunities and support client decisions.

· Build and maintain financial models, including valuation analyses such as DCF, trading comparables, and precedent transactions.

· Prepare transaction materials including teasers, confidential information memoranda (CIM), management presentations, investor lists, pitch books, and client proposals.

· Assist in preparing investment committee papers, internal memos, and strategic recommendations.

· Coordinate due diligence processes and data room management with clients, investors, lawyers, accountants, and other advisors.

· Monitor transaction progress, timelines, and key deliverables across multiple workstreams.

· Support origination efforts by researching target companies, sectors, and prospective investors.

· Contribute to thought leadership materials and publications to enhance market visibility and client engagement.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or related field.

· 1–3 years of experience in M&A advisory, investment banking, transaction services, private equity, or management consulting preferred.

· Strong understanding of corporate finance, valuation methodologies, and M&A transaction processes.

· Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modelling.

· Familiarity with financial databases such as Bloomberg Terminal, CapIQ, PitchBook, or similar platforms.

· Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia preferred.

· High attention to detail with ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

· Self-motivated, professional, and able to work independently as well as within a team.
