Position: Strategy Planning Lead

Key Responsibilities
- Lead business for Strategy Planning & Optimization Solution (SPO) in the region
- Work with the regional and global leadership in expanding SPO solutions in the region
- Plan and execute Go to Market strategy including roadshows for the target markets for SPO offerings
- Actively engage in thought leadership on relevant subjects
- Act as Project Director of consulting mandates for infrastructure advisory team
- Lead solution development with support from project managers
- Client management
- Quality control on key deliverables for Strategy Planning & Optimization advisory mandates
- Guiding Project Manager during project execution
- During sales and pre-sales, oversee scoping, effort estimation, pricing, schedule and proposal development
- Transfers knowledge, capabilities, and skills to improve others knowledge and skill levels
- Enhances working relationships with team members and management from within the client's organization
- Participates in quality review processes for assigned engagements
- Oversees client requirements, ensuring objectives are met within the engagement framework
- Develops applicable knowledge bases by using best practices to redefine tools and techniques. Outlines specific performance measures, targets, and goals to articulate the business case for realized efficiencies or added value
- Challenges client's current strategy and direction through persuasive argument. Defines competitive advantage and achievable value to the client through use of the strategic change components and metrics. Formulates issue-based hypotheses and develops analytical plan for testing. Contributes to analysis of impact of strategic changes by defining linkages and interdependencies.
- Applies appropriate methods or recognized equivalent to identify client needs
- Anticipate and resolve technical problems with occasional technical assistance from others
- Develops, presents, and defends conclusions, recommendations, and implementation plans
- Contributes to quality reviews of assigned engagements
- Identifies technical issues impacting an engagement and propose solutions
- Analyze and apply best practice knowledge of the industry
Requirements
- 15–20 years of overall professional experience, with at least 3 years leading strategic advisory projects in the capacity of Project Director or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required; postgraduate qualification in Business Management is an advantage
- Proven experience in leading a strategic advisory or consulting business at a regional level
- Minimum 70% of total experience in the power, energy, and water sectors.
- Demonstrated leadership in solutioning and delivery of complex advisory engagements, including decarbonization initiatives, business case development, market entry studies, strategic road mapping, net-zero strategy formulation, policy review and advocacy.
- Exposure to working across multiple Southeast Asian countries, particularly the Philippines and Indonesia, is an added advantage
- Established relationships at leadership level with large energy utilities in Southeast Asia are highly desirable
