Job Description

Role Purpose

The Chief Commercial Officer is responsible for driving the company's revenue growth and market expansion by leading all commercial functions, including Business Development, Sales, Presales, Marketing, and Client Management. The role ensures alignment between market needs, product offerings, and revenue targets, particularly within the credit bureau and data services ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver the company's revenue target through structured sales and market expansion strategies
  • Lead and manage Business Development, Presales, Marketing, and Sales Operations functions
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies across key segments (banks, multifinance, fintech, non-FI)
  • Drive client acquisition, retention, and wallet share expansion
  • Ensure strong sales pipeline management (pipeline → proposal → POC → deal conversion)
  • Strengthen consultative selling capabilities leveraging data, analytics, and credit bureau solutions
  • Collaborate with Product and Data teams to align market needs with product development
  • Oversee key account management and strategic partnerships
  • Monitor AR (Accounts Receivable) and ensure healthy collection cycles
  • Represent the company in strategic engagements with regulators, partners, and key clients

Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years of Senior leadership experience in commercial, Sales or Business Development roles. Experience in Digital Lending and financial products and services is preferred. Familiarity with data services; credit data, credit decisioning analytics solutions is a plus. Experience from other sectors in the service industry (e-commerce, telecom, general utilities companies etc.) in relevant roles will also be considered.
  • Proven track record of delivering revenue growth in a highly competitive market and regulated market
  • Strong understanding of Sales and Customer Success management, Digital Lending platforms and Customer Lifecycle management.
  • Recognized leadership skills and style, excellent negotiator, communicator and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking with strong execution drive
  • Strong Sales drive, results-driven (Closing) and customer-focused – excellent influencer and negotiator
  • Highly adaptive, dynamic and competitive - A pro-active, Can Do leadership attitude.
  • Must be result driven and highly motivated, possessing the ability to be a sound communicator with the ability to sell.
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills.
