About the Company

Adecco Indonesia is representing a leading private hospital group in Indonesia that is currently strengthening its presence in East Java. As part of its growth and expansion strategy, the organization is looking to appoint a General Manager – Business Development to drive business growth, enhance market positioning, and lead strategic initiatives across the hospital.

Role Summary

The General Manager – Business Development will be responsible for driving overall business growth and commercial performance of the hospital. The position requires a highly ambitious and hands-on leader with strong experience in business development within healthcare, medical devices, or pharmaceutical industries, who is capable of leading multiple stakeholders and scaling the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute comprehensive business development strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion
  • Identify new business opportunities, service line development, and strategic initiatives
  • Develop and manage partnerships with corporates, insurance companies, doctors, and healthcare networks
  • Explore collaboration opportunities within the broader healthcare ecosystem (pharma, medtech, diagnostics)
  • Build a high-performance and target-driven culture
  • Establish clear KPIs, performance tracking, and accountability frameworks
  • Manage and align both internal stakeholders (medical, operations, management) and external stakeholders
  • Build strong relationships with key doctors, KOLs, and decision-makers
  • Act as a bridge between hospital leadership and external partners

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare, or related field; MBA is a plus
  • 12–18 years of experience in business development / commercial roles
  • Background in healthcare, hospital, medical devices, or pharmaceutical industry is required
  • Proven track record of driving business growth, revenue expansion, and partnerships
  • Strong leadership experience with the ability to manage cross-functional teams
  • Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills
  • High level of drive, ambition, and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Experience in handling complex stakeholder environments and scaling business operations
