THIS POSITION IS TO BE BASED IN JAKARTA, INDONESIA
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Government & Regulatory Affairs
- Support the implementation of government relations and public policy strategies aligned with business objectives in Indonesia.
- Assist in building and maintaining working-level relationships with key ministries, regulators, and government institutions.
- Monitor regulatory, legislative, and policy developments; prepare summaries and impact analyses for internal stakeholders.
- Support the preparation of briefing materials, position papers, and reports for meetings with government authorities.
- Coordinate and participate in meetings, consultations, and industry discussions with relevant stakeholders.
- Provide timely updates and basic advisory on regulatory matters to internal teams.
Public Affairs & External Relations
- Support the execution of public affairs initiatives to maintain a positive corporate reputation.
- Assist in representing the company in industry associations, forums, and external engagements.
- Coordinate engagement activities with communities, NGOs, and external engagements.
- Work with Corporate Communications to support messaging, media responses, and public statements where required.
Stakeholder & Issues Management
- Assist in identifying and tracking public affairs, regulatory, and reputational risks.
- Support the development and execution of stakeholder engagement plans.
- Help coordinate responses to emerging issues, ensuring alignment with stakeholders.
- Maintain stakeholder mapping and engagement records.
Leadership & Governance
- Support the Head in implementing team priorities and ensuring effective coordination of activities.
- Contribute to reporting on government relations and public affairs activities, including tracking key developments and risks.
- Ensure all engagements are conducted in line with company policies, compliance requirements, and ethical standards.
JOB SUCCESS REQUIREMENT
- Bachelor's Degree in Law, Public Policy, Communications, Public Relations, Political Science, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in government relations, public affairs, regulatory affairs, or external relations.
- Experience engaging with government agencies or regulatory bodies in Indonesia is preferred.
- Exposure to regulated industries is an advantage.
ADDITIONAL NOTES/DESIRABLE SKILLS
- Good understanding of the Indonesian regulatory environment and government structures.
- Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
- Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret regulatory developments.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- High-level professionalism, integrity, and discretion.
