Assistant Manager – Distribution

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in developing daily and weekly fuel distribution schedules.
2. Coordinate with supply terminals, transport vendors, and gas station managers to ensure timely deliveries.
3. Monitor delivery progress and address operational issues promptly.
4. Monitor fuel stock levels at each SPBU and coordinate replenishment schedules.
5. Ensure accurate tracking and recording of fuel movement and stock balances.
6. Assist in implementing inventory control measures to minimize shortages or overstock.
7. Ensure all distribution activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
8. Monitor transportation safety procedures, including driver adherence to HSE standards.
9. Support in conducting safety briefings and audits.
10. Assist in vendor performance evaluation and relationship management.
11. Supervise drivers, dispatchers, and support staff as required.
12. Prepare and submit daily/weekly distribution reports to the Distribution Manager.
13. Maintain accurate delivery logs, stock records, and compliance documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 35 years of experience in distribution, logistics, or fuel supply chain operations (preferably in the oil & gas or fuel retail industry).
• Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, inventory management, and HSE standards.
• Proficient in MS Office and logistics management software.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing operational needs.
