We are looking for a full-time Animator for our YouTube channels:

We make documentary-style videos that explain complex stories in a clear and engaging way.
Role Overview
This role focuses on two core tasks:
- Geolayer3 map animations (2D / 2.5D / 3D)
- 2D & 3D animations in After Effects using custom models, icons and elements you create or modify.
You will read a brief, visualize the sequence, and deliver polished shots that match our style. You must be able to handle 3d modes, animation, and compositing as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Build cinematic map animations: routes, movements, markers, labels, zooms, elevation, highlights
- Create or modify 3D models of vehicles, equipment, terrain, and props (modeling, kitbashing, UVs, textures, basic rigging)
- Animate 3D shots: camera moves, turntables, reveals, exploded views
- Composite icons, labels, and images for clarity
- Keep project files clean and organized (naming, versioning, tidy scenes)
- Work closely with editors and producers; share WIPs and take notes
- Track tasks in Notion, deliver files to Dropbox
- Optimize scenes for fast iteration and re-renders
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years in 3D and motion graphics for documentaries/explainers
- Expert in After Effects (compositing, 2.5D camera, motion blur, overlays)
- Expert in 3D (modeling, UVs, texturing, shading, lighting, rendering, basic rigging)
- Strong skills in Illustrator/Photoshop (icons, labels, map elements)
- Strong visual storytelling and ability to execute independently
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
- Daily working overlap with Cyprus business hours (Mon–Fri)
- Familiarity with ChatGPT and AI tools for workflow support
Nice to Have
- Experience with stylized or data-based mapping workflows
- Interest in defense, aviation, military history, or geospatial visualization
Your Setup
- Workstation with 64 GB RAM minimum (more preferred), strong GPU/CPU
- Fast, stable internet (30-50 Mbps upload recommended)
Contract & Hours
- Full-time, remote
- Core overlap with Cyprus time required
- Must follow YTMG's confidentiality, IP, communication, and schedule policies
