This role is for developers who want to stay technical—but step away from full-time coding.

Whether you're a frontend, backend, mobile, QA, or full-stack engineer—if you've written real code, understand how systems are built, and can confidently evaluate other engineers through hands-on exercises, this might be your next move.

If you don't have hands-on coding experience, this role is not a fit.

At BruntWork, you won't just review resumes—you'll validate real engineering skills and help build high-performing tech teams.

What We're Looking For

  • Hands-on coding experience (required) — any stack
  • Ability to conduct technical interviews, coding assessments, or pair programming sessions
  • Interest in transitioning into technical recruitment or talent evaluation
  • Strong understanding of software development (SDLC, DevOps, testing, etc.)
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly in English
  • High standards in assessing code quality and technical decision-making
  • Willingness to work as an Independent Contractor (Bring Your Own Device Setup)

What You'll Be Doing

  • Evaluate candidates through live coding and pair programming sessions
  • Assess real-world coding ability, not just theoretical knowledge
  • Source and engage software engineers and IT professionals
  • Conduct technical pre-screening interviews
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and tech leads on role requirements
  • Manage candidate pipelines and coordinate interviews
  • Provide clear hiring insights and progress updates

Work Setup & Culture

  • 100% Remote (Work from Home)

  • Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (UTC)
