Huawei is looking for a Data Center Technical Director to act as the technical design authority and solution lead across the full project lifecyclefrom sales bidding to project execution. This hybrid role requires strong expertise in Pre-Sales solutioning and Post-Sales technical leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Sales (Sales Bidding)
- Engage with customers as the technical solution director.
- Design proposals, assess feasibility, and drive solution competitiveness.
Post-Sales (Project Execution)
- Lead as the technical design authority, guiding design teams and subcontractors.
- Review and validate shop drawings to ensure accuracy, compliance, and constructability.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks across the project lifecycle.
- Ensure adherence to global data center standards and oversee TCCF testing.
- Collaborate with global teams to adapt solutions for international projects, especially in the Asia-Pacific region.
Candidate Profile
Education
- Bachelors degree or higher in Building Services, Electrical, Mechanical, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
- 5+ years in data center design and solution delivery (both Pre-Sales & Post-Sales).
- Proven track record with large-scale data centers (>500 racks).
Technical Expertise
- Customer engagement, proposal development, and solution design with direct revenue impact.
- Strong background in bids/tenders, technical presentations, and solution competitiveness.
Professional Skills
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation abilities.
- Adaptable and collaborative in multicultural environments.
- Willingness to travel globally (focus: Asia-Pacific).
Languages
- Fluency in English (spoken & written).
- Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.
