Role Purpose
The Sr. Officer-Supply Chain Excellence will play a crucial role in supporting the efficiency and effectiveness of our end-to-end supply chain. This position is responsible for executing key tasks across demand planning, procurement, inventory control, and logistics. The incumbent will provide critical data analysis, manage inventory levels, process procurement orders, and coordinate transportation to ensure the smooth flow of goods, contributing directly to operational excellence and cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Demand and Supply Planning Support: Collect, compile, and analyze data from various sources to support the development of accurate demand forecasts.
- Assist in identifying trends, patterns, and inconsistencies in demand and supply data to inform planning decisions.
- Inventory Management & Control: implement and maintain inventory control procedures to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing costs.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder points, conduct regular stock audits (cycle counts), and investigate and reconcile discrepancies.
- Analyze inventory data to identify potential issues such as slow-moving items or excess stock.
- Procurement & Sourcing Execution: Assist in processing purchase orders, from requisition and quote gathering to order placement and tracking.
- Maintain accurate procurement documentation and support the resolution of basic invoice discrepancies.
- Logistics, Warehousing & Transportation: Coordinate with carriers and vendors to schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely movement of goods.
- Track shipments, manage transportation documentation (e.g., bills of lading), and resolve routine delivery issues.
- Support basic warehouse tasks and processes as needed to ensure efficient order fulfillment.
- Data Reporting & Analysis: Collect and report data on key supply chain metrics, including production, inventory, and transportation.
- Generate simple charts and reports to visualize data and support performance monitoring.
- Oversee end-to-end inventory disposal process (damaged, expired, obsolete), including physical segregation, valuation, approvals, and documentation.
- Ensure environmental and regulatory compliance for disposal, working with Legal, Procurement, and Compliance teams.
- Track and report disposal costs, impact on financial books, and recurring root causes.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a supply chain, logistics, or inventory management role.
- Proven experience with inventory control procedures, including cycle counting and discrepancy analysis.
- Demonstrable experience with procurement processes and transportation coordination.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
