Role Overview
You will lead the business development efforts in Indonesia. Your primary objective is to secure high-value contracts with mining companies, construction firms, EPC contractors, and real estate developers. You will act as a strategic partner to these clients, providing them with essential imported equipment, safety gear, and modular housing solutions.
Compensation: Base Salary + Performance-Based Commission
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development: Identify and secure new business opportunities within the mining, construction, and EPC sectors.
- Strategic Sales: Promote a diverse portfolio including PPE, heavy machinery, specialized tools, and prefabricated modular housing for onsite offices and worker camps.
- Relationship Management: Leverage and expand your existing network of decision-makers in the private sector and relevant government agencies to fast-track project approvals and procurement.
- Technical Consultation: Work closely with client engineering teams to provide technical specifications and solutions that meet Indonesian regulatory standards.
- Pipeline Management: Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation and technical bidding to contract negotiation and payment collection.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years in technical sales or business development specifically within the Indonesian EPC, mining, or construction industries.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree is required. A degree in Civil Engineering is highly preferred to better understand the technical details.
- Industry Network: A proven and active warm network of contacts within major Indonesian mining firms, EPC contractors, and government procurement bodies.
- Product Knowledge: Prior experience selling industrial equipment, heavy machinery, or modular/prefabricated buildings is essential.
- Work Style: Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment. You must be a self-starter who can deliver results without daily office supervision.
- Skills: Strong negotiation skills, fluency in Indonesian and English, and a deep understanding of import/export workflows in the Indonesian market.
