Job Summary:
An Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of employees, protecting the environment, and maintaining compliance with regulations in the workplace.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement EHS Programs
- Conduct Risk Assessments
- Ensure Compliance
- Provide Training and Education
- Investigate Incidents
- Monitors EHS performance metrics, collects data on safety and environment Indicators
Required Skills/Abilities:
- A bachelor&aposs degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, other Science/Engineering or a related field.
- Previous experience in a related EHS role, such as EHS Specialist or Safety Coordinator at least 3 years of experience in EHS management.
- A strong understanding of local environmental, health, and safety regulations is essential. The EHS Supervisor should be familiar with ISO 45001 & ISO 14001, EPA requirements, RBA and other relevant standards to ensure compliance.
- The ability to conduct thorough risk assessments, identify hazards, and assess risks is crucial for an EHS Supervisor. Experience in developing and implementing risk management strategies is highly valued.
- Strong communication skills are essential for an EHS Supervisor to effectively communicate EHS policies, procedures, and training to employees at all levels of the organization. The ability to write clear reports and present information to managers is also important.
