Senior / Component Quality Engineer

Gateway Search is proud to partner with one of the leading R&D and manufacturers of consumer electronics to bring on board Senior / Component Quality Engineer.

Component Quality Engineers main scope is to qualify, monitor and improve the quality of the operational processes and outputs of the local key component suppliers. The Component Quality Engineer&aposs responsibilities include supporting localization of key components, capability development of key components suppliers, improvement of component quality related processes (internal and external), following up corrective actions, contributing in GPD process.

The Component Quality Engineer should have excellent troubleshooting skills and be able to ensure that processes and parts consistently meet established quality standards.

To be successful in this role,

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent with at least 5 years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role
• Working Experience in plastic part (injection mold/blow mold), metal part (casting/stamping/plating), or electromechanical part (motor /pump/heater) manufacturing
• Good knowledge with supplier quality assessment audits
• Good written and verbal communications
• Willing to travel to existing and potential suppliers
