Job Description
About the role
The Risk Analytics Specialist is responsible for analyzing data to identify anomalies, trends, unusual patterns, and potential risk or control gaps, and to provide actionable insights to support risk decision-making. The role is expected to strengthen the team's analytical capability by supporting deeper investigation, improving analytical efficiency, and developing reusable dashboards or analytical tools.
You'll be working on:
- Perform data analysis to identify anomalies, trends, unusual patterns, and potential risk or control gaps.
- Conduct deep-dive analysis and root-cause investigation on risk-related issues and incidents.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, monitoring reports, and analytical tools.
- Support the evaluation and improvement of risk rules, thresholds, and monitoring criteria.
- Ensure data quality and completeness for risk analysis and decision-making.
- Translate analytical findings into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with Risk, Data, Product, Engineering, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Improve or automate recurring analytical processes where applicable.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or other relevant fields.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Risk Analytics, or other data-driven analytical roles.
- Strong SQL proficiency with the ability to extract, manipulate, validate, and analyze large datasets.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to identify trends, anomalies, unusual patterns, and root causes.
- Hands-on experience in dashboard development and data visualization using Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar tools.
- Strong data storytelling skills, with the ability to translate analytical findings into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
