Develop support and implement marketing strategy & initiatives/program and be responsible for executing effective marketing strategies, managing campaigns, and ensuring the brands visibility and growth in the retail sector through multiple sources (secondary data, primary data/market research, customer engagement, etc.) both external and internal business environment.
Implementation of marketing initiatives through various activities/events, monitor marketing budget/ spending effectiveness & product/ brand performance, market tracking & forecasting, align with department KPIs.
Responsibilities
- Brand Management: Ensure consistent brand messaging and positioning across retail channels, including point-of-sale (POS) displays, advertising, and digital platforms.
- Partnerships Program: Build and maintain strong relationships with relevant key retail partners (Roll-Formers, Co-Branding Partners, Distributors, Applicators/Contractors, Associations, etc) and other related parties to support product placements and campaigns in retail sector.
- Product Launches: Coordinate with product and sales teams for new product launches, including promotional material creation and retail staff training.
- Retail Event Activities: Organize retail events, exhibitions, and promotional activities to enhance product visibility and engage with customers.
- Sales Support: Provide marketing collateral, sales tools, and training to retail sales/staff to support the effective promotion of products.
Qualification And/or Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Marketing Executive/Specialist with at least 5 years of experience, preferably in the building materials, construction, and/or manufacturing industries within the retail sector, with a strong understanding of both B2B and B2C markets.
- Bachelors degree in marketing management and communication, Business Management, Architecture / Design, Civil or Metallurgy/ Material Engineering or any related field.
- Strong understanding of customer needs and market dynamics, with a focus on creating value for customers and the brand.
- Experience in customer engagement and managing relationships to foster loyalty and business growth.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is required.
- Analytical and Reporting Skills.
- Excellent communication & collaboration skills, ability to work cross-functionally with different teams (Sales, Product, Operations) and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strategic Thinking and Problem-Solving.
- Proven ability to work methodically, under minimum supervision with tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications And Experience
- Strong understanding of coated steel industry developments, awareness of market trends, and competitive landscape esp. within the retail sectors.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., in digital marketing, market research, copy writing) is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (for data analysis and reporting) PowerPoint, Power BI, etc.
- Understanding of pricing strategies and the impact of pricing on demand and profitability.
- Knowledge of design tools (Adobe Photoshop, Sketch Up, etc.) and digital marketing tools & platforms is an advantage (e.g., Google Analytics, social media tools).
