Our facility in Batam, Indonesia specializes in the production of lighting and detection product technologies including our Specialty Lamps for industrial and photonics applications, IPL Lamps and Trigger Coils, as well as Infra-Red Detectors (IRD), Sensor Modules and Pyro-electric Ceramic Wafers. Operating since September 1994, this site is also responsible for manufacturing of our Thermopile Sensors (TPS), Thermopile modules (TPM), CCD Sensors and Printed Circuit Board Assemblies.
We are seeking an experienced QA Unit Manager who will be responsible to ensure product quality performance meets customer expectations, while driving continuous improvement, customer-focused quality partnership, and consistent compliance with quality management standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of QA engineers and inspectors to achieve product quality targets and business objectives.
- Develop and execute quality strategies to support continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Establish, monitor, and report key performance indicators for product quality, audit readiness, and customer satisfaction.
- Drive initiatives to control, sustain, and enhance product quality performance across production lines in-charge.
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and other stakeholders to implement quality improvement projects.
- Oversee customer feedback management, failure analysis, and corrective actions to ensure timely resolution and prevention of recurrence.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and customer-specific quality requirements.
- Coordinate and support internal, certification, and customer audits, ensuring audit readiness at all times.
- Review, approve, and maintain quality documentation, procedures, and shipment documents.
- Lead team members by conducting coaching, performance evaluation and development.
- Serve as primary point of contact for customer quality requirements within product lines in-charge.
- Comply to company policies on Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Quality, or related discipline.
- 5 - 8 years of experience in product quality assurance in electronics or high-tech manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001; familiarity with IATF 16949 or ISO 13485 is an advantage.
- Hands-on experience in customer quality handling and audits.
- Skilled in root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action, and problem solving.
- Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
