About the Role
Key function to assume overall responsibilities for the management, administration and profitability of production department. Working towards productivity improvement, effective manpower planning and continue drive to develop shop floor staff.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for providing leadership in production department to achieve manufacturing excellence in Quality, Delivery and Cost.
- Accountable for leading, deploying and managing production supervisors, leaders and production support resource to meet production hourly, daily, monthly and yearly targets.
- Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Company&aposs Code of Business Conduct.
- Accountable for developing, communicating and implementing mid and long term departmental goals for areas of responsibility to ensure continued excellence, including appropriate contingency and risk planning.
- Demonstrate a commitment to customer service; anticipate, meet, and exceed expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively; making customer issues a priority.
- Accountable for deploying and monitoring visual controls and taking a lead in resolving production delays to meet business targets and initiate corrective action plans as necessary.
- Responsible for productivity improvement, cost saving plans & inventory management.
- Accountable for product quality meeting standards and customer expectations. To liaise with all internal staffs & intra departments to ensure timely corrective and preventive actions taken for non-compliance derived from PDR, NCMR, audits and customer complaints.
- Accountable for building up a committed and disciplined workforce towards ensuring quality enhancement. Responsible for overseeing subordinates discipline, 5S and production safety.
- Drive and develop a performance management culture through coaching and/or coordination with HR for training and development. Support subordinates training by analysing needs on an annual basis. To train and upgrade subordinates knowledge, job skill and work effectiveness.
- Prepare annual operating budgets, capital project requests, and establish productivity goals and standards for each areas of responsibility.
- Monitor and control expenditures and labour costs to operate within approved budget guidelines. Identify variances and potential corrective actions.
- Accountable for establishing and managing labour and overhead budgets, spending and driving cost reduction initiatives within department.
- Monitor departmental cost and cost trends, striving continuously to improve value.
- Accountable for planning and setting up new production line by incorporating Lean principles and periodically review on existing production lines with focus on standardized work, standardized work chart (SWC), operator balance chart (OBC), waste analysis, VSM, line flow, pull system and SMED.
- Ensuring the maintenance of the KPI reports.
Qualifications
- Preferably holds a recognized Degree in Electrical / Mechanical or relevant Engineering studies.
- Experience 5 15 years in the same function.
- Strong background in Production and a true believer of lean manufacturing.
- Commendable knowledge in project management, such as High-speed interconnect cables / Electric Vehicle / Automation / or Off-road.
- Systematic with strong work organisation capability.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
- Strategic, big picture thinker, including to new technologies.
- Leader, coach and mentor.
- Ability to work with all levels of an organization.
- Willing to work outside normal office hours.
