As a Procurement Service Delivery Senior Specialist supporting Procurement Operations at Micron Technology, Inc., you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of procurement operations. You will be responsible for fulfilling service level commitments by responding to demand signals and customer orders, engaging suppliers to confirm pricing, delivery, and terms, and collaborating with internal teams to resolve issues related to the Procure-to-Pay cycle. This role requires a proactive approach to process improvement, stakeholder communication, and data management.
Key Responsibilities
Fulfillment Processes:
- Create Purchase Orders (POs) referencing agreed-upon commercial and business terms, ensuring compliance with laws and company policies.
- Process purchasing requisitions through inventory planning and procurement requisition systems.
- Escalate supplier issues or disputes to the appropriate Procurement contact.
- Engage with suppliers to confirm pricing, delivery, and terms, collaborating with sourcing teams as needed.
Transactional Support and Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Process Change Order requests and PO confirmations.
- Manage overdue receipts and support PO approval processes.
- Reschedule deliveries based on demand change triggers.
- Collaborate with Accounts Payable and Receiving to reconcile invoice and receiving issues.
- Identify and resolve transactional issues in the purchasing process, escalating when necessary.
- Stakeholder management and collaboration (spoken & written): collaborate with Taiwan (Traditional Chinese), China (Simplified Chinese), Japan stakeholders.
Functional, and Project Support:
- Engage with procurement leadership and cross-functional business clients to drive best practices and continuous process improvement.
- Communicate with stakeholders regarding outstanding orders, new part requests, and vendor requests.
- Support the development and improvement of procurement processes for efficient performance.
- Analyze performance gaps, diagnose root causes, and recommend solutions to sustain improvements.
- Maintain and enhance knowledge of procurement processes and provide mentoring and consultation.
Procurement Program Support:
- Process data request forms for creation, changes, and deletions in procurement-related databases.
- Provide data management and support for supplier qualification processes.
- Administer the regional Purchasing Card program, including training, card issuance, payment assurance, and auditing.
Qualifications
- Higher tertiary (minimum Diploma, A-Level) in business, management or a related field.
Experience
- Proven 5+ years experience in procurement operations and equivalent support.
- Strong understanding of Procure-to-Pay cycle and procurement systems (SAP, Ariba).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve process inefficiencies.
- Experience with supplier engagement and issue escalation.
- Ability to mentor and consult on procurement processes.
