We are looking for Solution Architects with a DevOps/Cloud Infrastructure background who win complex cloud engagements. You own the technical solution in presales: from discovery to architecture to proposal. Your success is measured primarily by whether the customer commits — because they trust the solution and the thinking behind it. After a deal is closed, you briefly attach to the delivery teams to ensure architectural continuity and a strong start, then move on to the next opportunity.
This is primarily a front-of-the-deal, high-impact role, not a long-term delivery position, but you should be able to succeed in delivery as well, if needed.
The level of technical fluency we expect
This is not a pure hands-on engineering role — but you must be technically convincing.
- Typically 7+ years in technical consulting, or senior engineering roles, with a DevOps/Cloud Infrastructure focus
- Solid understanding of containerization, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Terraform, and infrastructure as code
- Comfort with networking, security, IAM, Linux systems
- Experience with distributed systems and microservice architectures
- You are comfortable reasoning about systems beyond diagrams: data flows, failure modes, integration points, and trade-offs
- You can go one level deeper when needed — sketching, validating assumptions, or rough-prototyping ideas to de-risk decisions
- You are pragmatic about tools, languages, and platforms, and can adapt as technology choices evolve
- You use modern approaches, including AI-assisted exploration or prototyping, to think faster, test ideas, and sharpen solutions
- Fluent communication skills with both engineers and clients in English
Your experience should look roughly like this
- Proven experience in presales or customer-facing technical roles, shaping and winning complex deals
- Strong practical experience in cloud architecture (Google Cloud (GCP) preferred)
- Demonstrated ability at both technical problem solving and management of C-level stakeholders
- You know when good enough to decide is better than perfect but late
- Track record of turning ambiguous problems into clear, trusted solutions
Your operating model
- Lead technical discovery and translate business problems into clear, compelling solution designs
- Shape cloud-native architectures that are realistic, scalable, and differentiated
- Work closely with Sales and Delivery on proposals, RFPs, and executive conversations
- Explain complex systems clearly to both technical teams and senior business stakeholders
- Stress-test ideas with Delivery and Technology leaders to ensure solutions are executable in the real world
- Attach post-sale to stabilize early delivery and clarify architectural intent
- Deliver PoCs
- Support delivery if needed
How you'll be judged
- Your deal win rate and ability to earn customer trust
- The clarity, credibility, and coherence of your solution designs
- Your judgment when balancing ambition with feasibility
- How effectively you collaborate across Sales, Delivery, and Technology to move deals forward
- Your ability to operate calmly and decisively in ambiguous, high-pressure presales situations
- The feedback you receive from the customer
Explicit non-responsibilities
- Owning delivery execution, project management, or P&L
- Being measured by lines of code or ticket throughput
- Spending months embedded in a single project
- Acting as a standards-only or governance-only architect
What makes this role distinctive
- You operate at the most decisive moment of the lifecycle: when deals are won or lost
- Success is visible, measurable, and directly tied to impact
- You work on complex, non-trivial customer problems — not commodity projects
- You collaborate with strong peers in Solution Architecture, and across Delivery, Technology, and Sales
- You get autonomy, trust, and accountability — without unnecessary process
