About the Role
As Portfolio Acceleration Manager, you will drive hands-on value creation and portfolio acceleration for WMi's climate-tech startups across Southeast Asia. Based in Jakarta and reporting to the Head of Portfolio Acceleration (Singapore HQ), you will manage a team of analysts and lead the delivery of acceleration programs for all portfolio companies. This role is ideal for someone with a strong strategy and operating background whether from consulting, tech, or startup roles who is ready to build and lead a high performing team, partner closely with top-tier founders and C-suite leaders, and continuously improve how acceleration is delivered across the region.
What You'll Do
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, manage, and coach a team of analysts, ensuring excellence in diagnostic, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Mentor analysts through regular 1:1s, feedback sessions, and ongoing skill development, fostering a growth-oriented, collaborative culture.
- Allocate analyst resources across multiple portfolio companies and priorities, ensuring workload balance and delivery quality.
Portfolio Acceleration Execution (Regional Scope)
- Act as the operational lead for portfolio acceleration, supporting all WMi portfolio companies across Southeast Asia
- Guide founders and leadership teams through activity mapping, operational diagnostics, pain/choke point analysis, and solution design.
- Develop, manage, and track implementation of 18-month acceleration roadmaps for each company, driving clear milestone achievement.
- Orchestrate sprints and interventions to unblock bottlenecks, support pivots, and accelerate progress toward product-market fit and scale.
- Facilitate structured check-ins, workshops, and founder sessions to maintain cadence, accountability, and continuous progress.
Process Co-Development & Program Improvement
- Work hand-in-hand with the Head of Portfolio Acceleration and Singapore partners to co-develop, document, and iterate WMi's portfolio acceleration SOPs and playbooks.
- Codify learnings from the field, pilot new frameworks, and help roll out process improvements across the entire PA team.
- Ensure analysts are trained and upskilled on new methodologies, tools, and templates.
Stakeholder & Ecosystem Management
- Act as a bridge between portfolio companies and Singapore HQ, ensuring alignment and seamless knowledge flow.
- Build trusted relationships with founders, C-suite leaders, investors, and ecosystem partners across SEA.
- Collaborate with ESG, carbon, talent, and fundraising specialists to bring the right expertise to founders at the right time.
Reporting, Knowledge Management & Impact Measurement
- Oversee accurate, timely reporting on portfolio company progress, KPIs, impact metrics, and intervention outcomes.
- Support fundraising and governance processes for portfolio companies with robust reporting and prep materials.
- Contribute to WMi's internal and external knowledge platforms (case studies, best practices, founder stories, playbooks).
Thought Leadership & Capacity Building
- Organize and lead internal capability-building sessions for analysts and portfolio founders (workshops, masterclasses, etc.).
- Represent WMi in ecosystem forums, industry events, and talent development initiatives.
- Drive talent identification and development within the climate-tech and startup ecosystem.
Who You Are
- 4-6 years of experience, ideally from a top-tier management consulting firm (BCG, Bain, McKinsey in Indonesia), or equivalent structured problem-solving and operational advisory background
- Ability to motivate, coach, and develop high-caliber team, ensuring consistent high-performance and morale
- Familiar with activity mapping, process improvement, and commercial model evaluation translating directly into diagnosing and accelerating portfolio company success
- Demonstrated ability to build trust, advise, and influence founders and C-level leaders essential for leading interventions and program adoption
- Proven track record in designing, piloting, and codifying processes to help build and evolve the internal PA playbook, driving WMi's long-term edge
- Regional mindset and experience working with distributed teams across Southeast Asia
- Passionate about climate innovation, sustainability, and early-stage startups
- Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English
