Job Description:
- Liaise with key government institutions on AFTECH&aposs Policy Roadmap and priority programs/projects of working groups.
- Manage AFTECH working groups and ensure achievement of their KPIs, including developing/updating workplans, budgets, and activities.
- Develop policy and/or regulatory analysis on selected topics.
- Conduct research for the development of various publications, such as:
- Provide regular updates to members on advocacy activities and engagement with key government officials.
- Coordinate with various external stakeholders in delivering policy activities, including international organizations, academics, other associations, etc.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor&aposs or Master&aposs degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Public Policy, or other relevant field.
- At least 4 years of relevant cumulative public policy experience working within the financial industry, consultancy, technology industry, government, regulatory agencies, or think tanks.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in Bahasa Indonesia and English; ability to speak in one of the local languages is a strong point.
- Ability to work independently, lead without authority, and work effectively in an ambiguous, rapidly changing landscape.
- Capability to build and maintain excellent relationships with high-ranking governmental authorities, research/academic institutions, community or industry influencers, and other third parties who may have significant influence on public policies.
- Proven ability to conceive, analyze, develop, and execute medium-to-long-term strategies and campaigns to deal with complex issues of technology, policy, and law involving multiple issues and players.
- Good network and relationship with key policy makers and regulatory stakeholders in Indonesia related to financial services, fiscal, or economic is a big plus.
- Background in consulting firm, financial institution, fintech, or heavily regulated industries is preferred.
- Must be able to work independently, be organized, and result-oriented.
