Prudential's purpose is to be partners for every life and protectors for every future. Our purpose encourages everything we do by creating a culture in which diversity is celebrated and inclusion assured, for our people, customers, and partners. We provide a platform for our people to do their best work and make an impact to the business, and we support our people's career ambitions. We pledge to make Prudential a place where you can Connect, Grow, and Succeed.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Product Development & Marketing Initiatives

  • The role supports marketing-related activities throughout the product development lifecycle, with a focus on providing data-driven insights at the early stages. This includes supporting Product Development Committees prior to major initiatives by delivering relevant market, customer, and competitive intelligence to inform decision-making.
  • The position also contributes to the successful Go-To-Market (GTM) of new products by conducting research and analysis on customer needs, market trends, and competitive positioning. Insights generated are used to refine product value propositions, pricing, and launch strategies to ensure market relevance and commercial effectiveness.

2. Marketing Research & Survey Management

  • This role is responsible for planning, executing, and managing end-to-end market research and surveys aligned with the company's strategic and marketing objectives. Research activities cover a wide range of methodologies, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, and desk research, to identify customer preferences, behaviors, and emerging trends through both regular tracking and ad-hoc studies.
  • The scope includes both internal and external research initiatives, such as customer and agent surveys, brand health tracking, NPS, product research, consumer insights, regional market studies, and rebranding impact assessments. The role analyzes sales and research data to assess market positioning, identify opportunities and gaps, and delivers clear, actionable recommendations to internal stakeholders through structured reports and presentations.

3. Marketing Intelligence & Industry Analysis

  • The position develops ongoing marketing intelligence and competitive analysis to support strategic planning. This includes producing quarterly competitive review reports that compare the company against key competitors across product offerings, marketing activities, digital and social media presence, innovation, and performance indicators.
  • In addition, the role monitors broader industry developments such as market trends, regulatory changes, and macroeconomic factors. Findings are synthesized into insights covering SWOT analysis and key focus areas aligned with the marketing plan, often in collaboration with media and creative agencies to ensure relevance and clarity.

4. Vendor & Budget Management

  • The role works closely with the Procurement team to support the selection, onboarding, and management of research agencies and other vendors. It monitors vendor performance to ensure quality delivery and serves as the main liaison between internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure alignment and resolve issues effectively.
  • The position also supports budget planning and financial governance related to research activities. This includes collaborating with marketing and cross-functional teams to forecast and allocate research budgets, tracking actual spending versus budget, and ensuring compliance with internal financial policies and controls.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing or other related disciplines.
  • At least 5 years of relevant industry and functional experience.
  • Strong expertise in market research and customer insights, with a focus on gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to inform strategic decisions. Skilled in designing research methodologies, synthesizing findings into actionable recommendations, and supporting go-to-market planning. Experienced in managing research vendors and aligning insights with broader business and brand objectives.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Good teamwork and motivational skills.
  • Solid command of spoken and written English.
