We are currently opening an opportunity for the position of Manager, Account Payable to join our team.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage the procurement process, including vendor selection, negotiation, and purchase order approval in accordance with company policies.
- Review and approve vendor invoices and payment schedules to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper authorization.
- Monitor cash flow requirements related to vendor payments and coordinate with the finance team.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure reliable supply and favorable commercial terms.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contract conditions to achieve cost efficiency and value for the company.
- Ensure proper documentation and reconciliation of accounts payable balances, including vendor statements and aging reports.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure procurement requests align with operational needs and budget allocations.
- Ensure tax compliance related to vendor payments, including withholding tax (WHT) and VAT documentation where applicable.
The successful candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 58 years of experience in Accounts Payable or Finance, with at least 23 years in a managerial role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
- Experience managing a team and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Preferred have experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.).
- Preferred have experience in multinational or fast-growing companies is an advantage
