Position SummaryThe Legal Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all legal matters related to OXOs business operations.This role requires a strong understanding of Indonesian laws and regulations pertaining to land acquisition, construction, real estate, contracts, licensing, and hospitality operations.
Key Responsibilities
Legal Advisory & Compliance- Provide strategic legal advice and ensure compliance with all local, regional, and national regulations related to property development and hospitality operations.
- Monitor and manage risks across business units, including legal disputes, regulatory updates, and contractual obligations.
- Advise management on potential legal issues and recommend preventative actions.
Property Development Support- Oversee land acquisition processes, ensuring proper due diligence, title verifications, and compliance with land use and zoning laws.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to development projects, including construction agreements, consultant contracts, permits, and joint ventures.
- Assist in securing necessary licenses and approvals for development and construction activities.
Property Management Support- Support the legal needs of hospitality operations, including leasing agreements, guest liability matters, vendor contracts, and operational compliance.
- Draft and maintain service agreements, tenancy agreements, and third-party supplier deals.
Contract Management- Draft, review, and manage various legal documents and agreements across departments (sales, marketing, HR, finance, vendor partnerships).
- Ensure proper documentation, safe storage, and renewal tracking of legal contracts and licenses.
Corporate & Organizational Support- Support the companys legal entity maintenance, including company registrations, reporting obligations, and coordination with notaries and government offices.
- Handle internal company documents such as NDAs, MoUs, employment agreements, and company policies.
Litigation & Dispute Resolution- Manage and coordinate with external legal counsel on litigation cases or legal threats affecting the business.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings where needed, including arbitration, mediation, or court matters.
Qualifications & Requirements- Bachelors Degree in Law (S.H.), with advocate license (PERADI) preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of legal experience, preferably in property development, real estate, or hospitality industries.
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian land law, construction law, tenancy law, licensing, and hospitality-related regulations.
- Proven experience in contract drafting and negotiation.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English, both written and spoken.
