We are seeking an experienced and strategic Legal Manager to lead our corporate legal function. This role will oversee high-impact legal initiatives, provide strategic counsel to senior leadership, and ensure strong legal governance across the organization. You will work closely with executives and cross-functional teams to support business growth while effectively managing legal risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee high-impact legal projects while working closely with senior management and business teams on both strategic and operational matters.
- Provide strategic legal advice to senior management on corporate, commercial, regulatory, compliance, and operational legal matters.
- Lead the drafting and review of complex legal agreements, ensuring alignment with applicable laws, internal policies, and business objectives.
- Supervise and mentor junior legal team members, including reviewing their work and supporting their professional development.
- Manage relationships with external counsel, including overseeing litigation strategy, commercial matters, day-to-day legal support, and cost efficiency.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and regulatory analysis to support new business initiatives, including assessing new business ideas and strategic projects.
- Support and advise on business structures, strategic partnerships, and expansion initiatives from legal, regulatory, and risk perspectives.
- Monitor and interpret legal and regulatory developments, ensuring timely adaptation across the organization.
- Assist in developing and implementing legal frameworks, policies, and compliance programs across departments.
- Support corporate governance activities, including board and shareholder matters, legal risk assessments, and internal controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.); Master of Laws (LL.M.) is a plus.
- 5–8 years of experience in corporate legal, in-house, or law firm environments.
- Strong expertise in corporate & commercial law, regulatory & compliance, contracts, licensing, and dispute resolution.
- Proven ability in contract drafting, negotiation, and providing strategic legal advisory to business stakeholders.
- Solid analytical thinking with the ability to translate legal complexities into practical business solutions.
- Strong communication skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
