We are currently looking for a Junior Legal Associate to join our excellent in house Legal Team. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2+ years experience from a law firm to join and take responsibility for supporting legal matters in our Asset Servicing division. The role will be based in our Jakarta office.
Job Description
- Support the Indonesian team on all legal matters in Indonesia, including legal assistance related to the Companys Non-Performing Loan portfolios.
- Assist in the preparation and review of settlement documents, restructuring agreements, and related correspondence with corporate debtors.
- Provide support in relation to pre-litigation matters and evidentiary documentation concerning corporate accounts.
- Oversee corporate regulatory compliance in coordination with in-house legal assistants and external legal counsel.
- Periodically provide support on in-house legal and compliance matters, including but not limited to entity establishment, employment law issues, and the review of non-transactional contracts and policies.
- Support the Indonesian Legal Counsel and General Counsel on regional legal matters on an ad hoc basis.
Requirements
- Sarjana Hukum (S-1) bachelors degree from prominent universities.
- Minimum 2 years of working experience, with minimum 1 year of experience at a prominent law firm in Jakarta.
- Prior experience in due diligence, general corporate matters, and drafting agreements and/or transaction documents.
- Strong understanding of Indonesian corporate law and security law (Hukum Jaminan/Kebendaan).
