Job Overview
Reporting to the Country Manager, this role is responsible for developing and managing key accounts, strengthening strategic customer relationships, and driving sales growth and market share within the utilities sector, including distribution, transmission, and power plant customers. The position also supports the growth and performance of assigned channel partners.
The role involves contributing to sales strategy and execution, including trade-related initiatives, sales forecasting, point-of-sale analysis, business and category reviews, and negotiation of trading terms. The successful candidate will be hands-on, well-organized, and highly motivated, with a disciplined approach to managing work standards and channel performance.
This position is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Primary Responsibilities:
Plan and employ an effective and pro-active approach to enable thorough coverage, penetration, development and consolidation of these customers to the fullest potential possible.
Regularly visit, nurture customer bonding and ferret out all business opportunities, maintaining a high profile within these trades with the assign channel partners
Manage buyer's expectations, promote joint marketing activities.
Conduct market intelligence, monitor competitors strategies, provide analysis and to formulate strategy and tactics to counter competition
Supervise and motivate sales performance of the channels to achieve sales target within the corporate guidelines and resources allocated.
Provide direction and targets to the channels to grow sales in assigned vertical segment
Experience / Qualifications
At least a Degree in Electrical or Physics Engineering or Sales and Marketing or Business-related studies.
At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within the Utilities sector (Distribution and Transmission), power utilities, green energy, and renewable energy industry background with a strong background in either Channel Sales or Direct Sales combined with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role.
Have knowledge & experience in the local market and ability to build up new relations & connections in positive terms.
Confident, analytical, results oriented, work under pressure and self-motivated.
Proven record of establishing and maintaining long term sales relationships.
Be able to work in a fast-paced multi-cultural environment.
Ability to think outside the box
Effective team-builder with excellent problem-solving skills.
Excellent presentation, negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills
Frequent travel is expected
Fluency in English with strong communication skills is essential.
Computer savvy in terms of analytical & presentation skills.
