About the Role
PT. Pelsart Tambang Kencana is looking for a Hydrology Engineer based in Jakarta. This role will focus on mine water management, hydrological studies, and technical support for our gold mining operations across Indonesia.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze hydrological data from multiple mine sites (rainfall, runoff, water discharge).
- Develop and implement mine water management plans for surface water control.
- Conduct technical analyses for water balance, pit dewatering, and drainage systems.
- Prepare hydrology reports to support regulatory compliance (e.g., AMDAL, PERTEK).
- Implement and maintain monitoring systems for rainfall, surface runoff, and water quality.
- Collaborate with mine planning, geotechnical, and environmental teams to integrate hydrology into mine designs.
- Review hydrology studies conducted by consultants and contractors.
- Conduct regular site visits for data validation, monitoring, and technical support.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Hydrology, Mining Engineering, or related field.
- 35 years experience in applied hydrology, preferably in the mining sector.
- Proficiency in hydrology and water modeling software (WMS, HEC-RAS, SWAT, Minescape/Minex or similar).
- Strong analytical, data interpretation, and reporting skills.
- Knowledge of Indonesian mining/environmental regulations and international standards.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to travel to mine sites when required.
