Were Hiring a HSE Lead!

We are looking for a Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Lead to strengthen our site operations. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing HSE procedures, leading emergency preparedness, managing risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with both internal and external standards. The HSE Lead will play a key role in promoting a strong safety culture, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.

Work Location: Site Banggai Ammonia Plant, Kabupaten Banggai

Reporting Line: This position reports directly to the HSE Manager

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Chemical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer or Technical Background.
  • 1015 years of experience in HSE leadership, preferably in Fertilizer, Ammonia, Petrochemical, or Oil & Gas Industries.
  • Strong knowledge of SMK3, OHSAS, and ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
  • Licensed Lead Auditor for SMK3 or OHSAS.
  • Certified Incident Investigator (e.g., RCAT, 5 Whys, TapRoot).
  • Knowledge and experience in Process Safety Management, Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment & Control, HAZOP, and emergency response management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, fluent in English.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, review, and maintain HSE procedures and emergency response systems for BAP Site.
  • Lead the development and implementation of HSE training programs for employees and contractors.
  • Promote HSE awareness and best practices across all levels of the organization.
  • Plan and develop strategic initiatives to achieve HSE targets.
  • Analyze incident/accident statistics, identify trends, and implement improvement measures.
  • Lead incident investigations, RCA, and ensure corrective/preventive actions are followed up.
  • Manage risk assessments and establish risk controls.
  • Lead occupational health programs at the site.
  • Conduct and lead internal audits; accompany external auditors as required.
  • Build and maintain strong communication with government regulators on HSE matters.
  • Prepare and manage the HSE departments annual budget.
  • Participate in HAZOP meetings and safety reviews.
  • Ensure implementation of SMK3 and Environmental Management Systems to maintain a safe and eco-friendly workplace.
  • Take immediate action and report unsafe conditions or practices that pose risks to safety, health, or the environment.
