Job Description:
The Head of Finance is responsible for leading the overall finance function, including financial planning, reporting, compliance, and strategic business partnering. This role ensures strong financial performance, supports business growth, and drives operational efficiency within a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Leadership & Strategy
- Lead the development and execution of financial strategies aligned with global and regional objectives
- Act as a strategic partner to senior management in business decision-making
- Provide financial insights to enhance profitability and operational efficiency
2. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes
- Monitor financial performance (revenue, cost, margin) and provide variance analysis
- Develop financial models to support business expansion, investments, and cost optimization
3. Accounting & Reporting
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with IFRS/local GAAP
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes
- Coordinate with regional/global teams for consolidation and reporting requirements
4. Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, tax requirements, and corporate policies
- Manage internal and external audits
- Strengthen internal controls and risk management frameworks
5. Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Oversee cash flow, liquidity, and funding requirements
- Optimize working capital (AR, AP, inventory)
- Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions
6. Team Leadership
- Lead and develop the finance team (Accounting, Tax, FP&A)
- Foster a high-performance and collaborative work culture
- Drive continuous improvement in team capability and performance
7. Business Partnering (Logistics Focus)
- Provide financial support to logistics operations (warehousing, transportation, freight)
- Analyze cost structures, including distribution and freight costs
- Collaborate with operations, commercial, and supply chain teams to improve efficiency
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business (Master's degree preferred)
- 10–15 years of finance experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Experience in a multinational company; logistics/supply chain industry preferred
- Strong knowledge of IFRS/local GAAP, tax, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent analytical skills and strong business acumen
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is an advantage
