Job Description

Position Summary

The Finance Executive plays a vital role in supporting the FP&A team through bank liaison, partner onboarding support, daily data analysis, reconciliation, financial reporting,. In addition to core analytical responsibilities, this role also manages coordination activities with company secretaries (Cosec), legal teams, banks, OTC partners, hosts, and internal accounts teams. The position requires strong numerical accuracy, cross-functional coordination, and the ability to work efficiently across finance and operational stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Assist in analysing daily, weekly, and monthly financial data including GPV, revenue, margins, and merchant-level trends.
  • Identify variances, dips, spikes, and unusual patterns, and escalate insights to the Data Analyst / AFM.
  • Prepare and support MIS reports, dashboards, and summary packs for internal reviews.
  • Maintain accuracy, completeness, and timely updates in all reporting files.

2. Data Reconciliation & Validation

  • Perform regular reconciliations of transaction data, merchant files, settlement reports, and statements from partners and hosts.
  • Validate financial data received from internal systems, banks, and external partners.
  • Investigate discrepancies and work closely with internal teams to ensure resolution.
  • Maintain audit-ready reconciliation logs with proper documentation.

3. Onboarding Support Banks, OTC Partners & Hosts

  • Support onboarding processes for banks, OTC partners, and payment hosts by coordinating documentation, compliance requirements, and operational setup.
  • Assist in collecting, validating, and submitting KYC, agreements, and onboarding forms.
  • Liaise with technology, legal, and operations teams for integration-related financial requirements.
  • Track onboarding status across stakeholders and ensure smooth activation cycles.

4. Coordination With Cosec & Legal Teams

  • Work closely with local company secretary teams for documentation, filing requirements, and regulatory coordination relating to finance data.
  • Support lawyers with required information, financial data clarifications, or documentation needed for compliance, agreements, or restructuring activities.
  • Maintain structured records for filings, agreements, and related documents.

5. Collaboration With Accounts & Internal Teams

  • Coordinate with the Accounts team for bookkeeping inputs, financial data support, vendor/bank details, and month-end closing-related information.
  • Provide datasets to Accounts for ledger checks, journal postings, or reconciliation support.
  • Ensure smooth cross-functional communication for accuracy of financial numbers.

6. FP&A Operational Support

  • Provide data assistance for budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost tracking.
  • Prepare pivot-based analysis sheets, raw datasets, and supporting information for weekly and monthly FP&A deliverables.
  • Assist the AFM in structuring presentations, internal review packs, and performance insights.

7. Partner Coordination & Daily Operations

  • Liaise with banks, hosts, and OTC partners for operational queries, payout clarifications, and daily settlement or transaction-related data.
  • Track key partner deliverables and ensure timely data flow.
  • Maintain trackers and logs for partner activities and file submissions.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting.

Experience

  • 13 years of experience in FP&A, finance operations, data analysis, MIS, or onboarding-related roles.
  • Experience working with banks, payment partners, CoSec, or legal teams is an advantage.

Technical Skills

  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas).
  • Good understanding of financial statements, revenue models, and transaction-level data.
  • Technical knowledge on the Big data is an advantage.
  • Basic familiarity with BI tools (Power BI/Tableau) is a plus.
  • Ability to handle and verify large datasets with precision.
