Job Description

Responsibilities

Financial Operations Management:

  • Oversee daily financial operations, including cash flow management, bank reconciliations, and payment processing.
  • Monitor and control company expenses to ensure alignment with budgets and forecasts.
  • Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, ensuring timely collections and payments.
  • Coordinate and supervise month-end and year-end closing processes.

Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions in accordance with accounting standards (e.g., PSAK/IFRS).
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Tax Management And Compliance

  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns (PPH 21, PPH 23, PPH 25, VAT, etc.) in compliance with Indonesian tax regulations.
  • Manage withholding taxes and ensure proper documentation for all transactions.
  • Handle tax audits, coordinate with tax authorities, and resolve any disputes or inquiries.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and ensure compliance.

Financial Controls And Risk Management

  • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
  • Conduct regular financial reviews and reconciliations to identify discrepancies or potential risks.
  • Supervise inventory controls and coordinate stock-taking activities to minimize shrinkage and losses.
  • Implement and monitor retail-specific controls, such as POS system reconciliations and cash handling procedures.

Budgeting And Forecasting

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor budget performance and identify variances, providing actionable insights to management.
  • Provide financial analysis and reports to support business decisions, such as cost analysis and profitability assessments.

Team Supervision And Development

  • Lead and supervise the finance, accounting, and tax team, including task assignments and performance reviews.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the team's skills and knowledge.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team culture.

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Collaborate with IT to optimize accounting systems (e.g., ERP or POS systems) and ensure seamless integration with financial reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, reduce manual work, and improve efficiency.
  • Implement best practices for accounting and tax operations within the retail context.

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Operations, Marketing, HR) to ensure alignment on financial matters.
  • Maintain relationships with external auditors, banks, and tax consultants.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.

Requirements

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Brevet A & B, or Chartered Accountant (CA) certification is a plus.

Experience

  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in finance, accounting, and tax, preferably in a retail or consumer goods environment.
  • Experience in managing tax reporting, compliance, and handling tax audits.
  • Prior supervisory or team leadership experience is a plus.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Jurnal, or Accurate).
  • Strong knowledge of PSAK (Indonesian Accounting Standards) and Indonesian Tax Regulations (PPN, PPh 21/23/25, etc.).
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) and experience with financial reporting tools.
