PT Global Papua Abadi is an integrated sugar industry business entity which is included in the National Strategic Project (Proyek Strategis Nasional) for the Merauke food and energy development area, which operates in Merauke Regency, South Papua Province with an area of () 30,000 hectares as a form of real support for the Governments sugar self-sufficiency Governments programme in realising sugar & bioethanol self-sufficiency in the framework of Food and Energy Security.
Factory Manager
SITE MERAUKE
Key Responsibilities:
- As Factory Manager, you will be report directly to Head of Mills and also President Director
- Manage and supervise all operational activities of the sugar factory, from raw material intake (sugarcane) to final sugar production.
- Develop and implement effective production plans to meet volume, quality, and efficiency targets.
- Monitor plant performance metrics and take corrective actions to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
- Lead, train, and manage a multidisciplinary team, including production, maintenance, quality control, and logistics departments.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Coordinate with the agriculture division to align raw material supply with production schedules.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of machinery and equipment to ensure operational reliability.
- Manage factory budgets and control operational costs.
- Prepare regular performance and production reports for senior management.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and teamwork across the plant.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Food Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in sugar manufacturing or related heavy industry, with at least 3 years in a managerial position.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes, machinery, and quality assurance systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work and lead in a remote or rural environment.
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
