External Relations Manager (Mining Industry)

About the Opportunity

A prominent mining company in Indonesia is hiring a Manager External Relation to oversee government affairs, permitting, and stakeholder engagement for its operations. This role is site-based with a FIFO roster, and may be placed in either coal or gold projects depending on company needs.

We are seeking a strategic and grounded communicator with proven experience in managing complex external dynamics across local, regional, and national levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent the company in interactions with government authorities, communities, and NGOs.
• Oversee all permitting and regulatory processes (RKAB, IPPKH, AMDAL, etc.).
• Lead and monitor stakeholder engagement strategy and CSR/PPM programs.
• Safeguard the companys social license to operate through proactive risk management.
• Ensure compliance with Indonesian mining regulations and ESG standards.

What Were Looking For

• Bachelors degree in Law, Communications, Social/Political Science, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years experience in external or government relations, preferably in mining.
• Strong network with Indonesian regulators (ESDM, KLHK, local governments).
• Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and proficient in English.
• Experienced working in remote areas with FIFO roster systems.
